The school office is open each school day from 8.30am until 4.30pm.

Work hours – Teachers

Teacher work hours;

8.40am-4.40pm – Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

8.40am-3.40pm – Thursday and Friday

Teachers are committed to attending Professional Learning Community meetings (PLC) every Monday and Wednesday from 3.40-4.40pm, therefore are unavailable to speak with parents during these times.

Student safety at Warrnambool East PS is our highest priority, and the safe and appropriate supervision of students is an important element of our duty of care to students. Part of this duty is ensuring parents and students are aware of our student supervision arrangements before and after school.

Before school: School grounds are supervised from 8.40am (10 minutes prior to the start of the school day at 8.50am). Area 1 (front of school) and Area 2 middle area of the school and small oval. NB The big oval and arboretum are out of bounds during this time.

After school: School grounds are supervised from 3.20-3.35pm (15 minutes after the end of the day) – The Nicholson Street gate, bus stop – Nicholson Street, small oval exit, car park loop and car park exit – Ward Street.

Students on school grounds outside these times will not be supervised (unless they are attending a before or after school care program or supervised extracurricular activity).

Parents/carers are requested to ensure that students do not attend school outside of these supervised times unless they are attending before or after school care, or a pre-arranged supervised activity (i.e. sports practice).
